Toast to the Triple Crown! May 6!

Blue Ridge Arts Council’s Toast to the Triple Crown

Sunday, May 6, 2018
3:00pm to 5:00pm
at the home of Bill & Mary Powers

Three races comprise the Triple Crown of horse racing: the Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs in Louisville; followed two weeks later by the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico in Baltimore; and winding up three weeks after that with the Belmont Stakes in Long Island. Enjoy celebrating this springtime tradition with signature cocktail tastings and food pairings. Join us in toasting The Triple Crown, a uniquely American event, with an afternoon of signature cocktails and food pairings that are as much of a part of the event tradition as the horses! Betting Ladies are encouraged to wear your best summer dress and a show stopping hat. Gambling Gents might consider a bow-tie (bonus points for fun patterns) and boater, fedora, bowler, or such! All this while enjoying beautiful art, lively conversation, and maybe even a little “horsing around”, while raising funds for the programs of Blue Ridge Arts Council.

Tickets can be purchased online @ https://events.ticketprinting.com/event/Blue-Ridge-Arts-Councils-Toast-To-The-Triple-Crown-28108 or by calling 540.635.9909 and reservations are suggested by May 1. Must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
