SVGC Benefit Golf Tournament – July 22, 2018

Come out and play a great afternoon of golf and support the programs of Blue Ridge Arts Council at this guaranteed to be a delight afternoon of golf, followed by a summer buffet dinner, and some tasty beverages and treats throughout play.
12:30 pm Player Check-In and Social 
2:00 pm Shotgun Start
Teams: Four-person teams (2 Male & 2 Female). Form your own team or we will help you find partner.
Format: Four-person Scramble. Flights will be based on team score.
Entry Fee: $65.00 per player – Non-Members
$45 per player – SVGC Members.
Entry fee includes cart, green fees, reception following play, and prizes
Prizes: Team and closest to pins.

The American Legion Community Band is performing tonight at 7:00 pm, in band room on the R-MA campus in Front Royal. Everyone is welcome.

The R-MA band room is down the hill behind the main building with the dome on it on the R-MA campus, just past the track. This web page has a graphic of the building.

Gazebo Gatherings – June 8 – American Legion Community Band

The American Legion Community Band, located in Front Royal, Va, was formed in 1986 and has been playing concerts in the area ever since. The conductors and band members are all volunteer musicians from the local area and new members are always welcome.

The band performs at a variety of concerts and community festivals throughout the year. All performances are free and open to the public. Their repertoire is both versatile and traditional with works ranging from classical to popular, marches and operatic overtures to modern works for band. The band is sponsored by the Giles B. Cook Post #53 of the American Legion.

The conductors are Ed Richards, Ronald Dye and Mark Malechek. All rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 7:30 – 9:00 pm in the Fulton Fine Arts Complex bandroom at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, Va. Anyone who plays an instrument and would like to join is welcome to attend. The American Legion Community Band’s performance season extends from September through July each year with public performances both indoors and out.
