Annual Dinner & Arts Citizen of the Year
honoring
Fred & Christine Andreae

Blue Ridge Arts Council honored Fred and Christine Andreae as their Arts Citizens of the Year at the 15th Annual Dinner Roast on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club in Front Royal.

Doug Stanley and Pam McInnis served as emcees for the evening, and our panel of roasters – Ernie Carnavale, Paula Atwood, Janet Brome, Joe McGreeevy, and Bob Meltvedt – provided tributes and stories. Fred and Christine were gracious honorees and received a triptych of silk paintings by artist member Helga Hohn Heiberg.

Doug Stanley received the Wordsworth Service Award, given annually for outstanding volunteer service to Blue Ridge Arts Council. Doug has served as emcee of the Arts Citizen Dinner for the past 13 years, and as a member of the “bartending dream team” for our annual Deck the Halls event. Doug received a photograph of the Shenandoah National Park framed in antique beadboard by artist member Shenandoah Originals/Shannon Koprovich.

Blue Ridge Arts Council is a 30-year old community arts organization and the proceeds of this event benefit the ongoing arts and cultural programming of the council.
